Step 1 – Share your Ideal

This is where the fun begins! You will work with me to describe your ideal home. It goes well beyond just the budget and some basic amenities. I want to dig into your life! Your preferences, your likes, dislikes, and aspirations. Chances are, we can actually make them come to life!

I will also nudge you and offer my own insights in this process.

Not one agent or locator will ask you this. Not one! They aren’t built for it.

You start with your dream, and then we find a way to make it come to reality.

Step 2 – We Collaborate

You have only so much time and energy to sift through everything.

That’s where I come in. I will work with your ideal to show some options to you. I’ll show not just properties but also some areas. It’s a way to get even more specific about what you’re looking for.

Your ideal often has some missing elements to it. Or maybe when you look at it in real life, you realize you actually want something else.

This is the calibration phase. We get even more specific until we are feeling very good about what we have.

Step 3 – Get Insights

At last, we have it! A list of properties, an analysis of what will most likely work for you.

Just as importantly, I share with you a list of what won’t work for you. Over the years, I’ve found this to be especially important.

After a while, all these properties will end up sounding the same. You will lose track and forget why you said yes to some places and no to others.

The No list helps you feel confident so you can move forward with the “yes” list.

Are you a licensed agent?

Nope. That’s the whole point. I don’t take commissions.

Do you only do apartment searches?

No. Looking for a home can include duplexes, condos, apartments, townhomes, or even fully detached homes.

Do you work outside of Dallas?

Right now, I specialize only in the Dallas-Ft. Worth and surrounding cities.

Can I still work with an agent or locator?

Of course. But I hope you don’t need to.

Can’t I do this myself?

Yes you can. If you have the time and ability to do it, go for it. For most families though, this process takes an average of 72 hours put together over many weeks. It is almost a part-time job in itself.

Why should I pay you when others are free?

Short answer: because it costs you to not look at all the options and you end up missing out on something that could have been better for you.

What if I don’t like any of the options you give me?

Short answer: I re-evaluate the list.

Long answer: This usually happens when there is something that cannot fit your criteria. E.g. your budget cannot match everything you are looking for. We talk about it and see how to weigh the criteria differently.
